In 2015, my artistic journey found its roots in the nurturing environment of the Hospitality House Community Arts Program. My exploration began by participating in various workshops, including painting, ceramics, and silkscreen printing, offered at the Hospitality House studio. As time passed, my confidence grew, leading me to engage more openly with fellow community artists. The discussions, positive feedback, and connections I formed enhanced my mental well-being. Art transformed from a solitary pursuit into a means of building relationships and fostering a sense of belonging within my community. Through art, I discovered a voice that resonated with others, regardless of their artistic background. Creating art here not only offered a sense of belonging but also acted as a form of therapy, healing the unnoticed fractures within me.

The Hospitality House Community Arts Program (CAP) is an initiative that aims to provide a supportive and inclusive space for individuals to engage in various forms of artistic expression. Through workshops, classes, and artistic collaboration, CAP encourages personal growth, healing, and community building. It serves as a platform for artists of all backgrounds, including those facing homelessness, poverty, or other challenges, to explore their creative potential, connect with others, and find a sense of belonging within a creative community. The program's holistic approach recognizes the therapeutic and transformative power of art, fostering self-expression and empowerment for participants.

I have embarked on my artistic journey from this very space. It's where I crafted my first art piece, a creation that was also successfully sold here. This space also hosted my first solo art exhibition, a momentous occasion that holds a special place in my heart. The presence of this art program in the Tenderloin neighborhood is truly a blessing, providing a nurturing environment for artists like me to flourish.

An annual highlight in the Hospitality House calendar is the "THHE AUCTION," a fundraising event that gathers momentum each year. As a CAP artist, I've been encouraged to contribute my artworks to this event. It's a way for me to express my gratitude for the immense support I've received from this program. Participating in the auction has been a truly rewarding experience. Seeing my artworks displayed alongside those of established artists is a source of pride. The thrill of witnessing bids being placed on my creations is beyond words – it's an experience that goes above and beyond mere artistic accomplishment. There's a profound sense of purpose that resonates deeply within me.

And now, I'd like to share with you the art pieces that I've exclusively created for THHE AUCTION. These pieces represent my gratitude, my growth, and my unwavering commitment to the art that has transformed my life.
