The theme for 2022, "Streets of San Francisco," marks the seventh year of collaboration between SFMTA, San Francisco Beautiful, and The Poetry Society of America for the Poetry in Motion® initiative. Together, they bring art and poetry to Muni commuters.

Project Introduction: In partnership with San Francisco Beautiful, The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) is boosting the local art scene and improving the daily transit experience for over 700,000 riders through the Muni Art program. This initiative transforms 100 Muni buses into moving art galleries, rekindling the successful connection between local art and public transportation.
